Travel Plan

Day 1: Sossusvlei

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Windhoek between 08h00 and 08h30 in the morning. The journey take us to the World’s oldest desert ‘Namib Desert’ home to the highest Sand field at Sossusvlei. We stop at Solitaire for some photos and perhaps afternoon tea. Proceed to our beautiful overnight lodge arriving mid-afternoon. Settle in and enjoy the magnificent view and the colour play of the sunset. Overnight stay at Namib Desert Lodge or similar.

Day 2: Sossusvlei Area

Today we will wake-up early morning and head to Sesriem the entry point into Sossusvlei to catch the soft light of the sunrise on the desert. This is the best time to experience the spectacular landscape of the dune field, with its clear blue sky, and the blazing apricot color, which create a powerful contrast across the entire Desert. Once you have explored Sossusvlei and Deadvlei surrounding, you then go to Sesriem canyon a nearby geological site before returning to our Lodge in the afternoon. Overnight stay at Namib Desert Lodge or similar.

Day 3: Swakopmund

Early depart northwest via Solitaire, Gaub and Kuiseb Pass into Namib Naukluft park, passing fantastic rock formation and ever changing desert landscape. If time allows we will stop at the Walvisbay lagoon to enjoy the view and watch the flamingos and other bird species, before we continue with our journey to Swakopmund. Overnight stay at The Delight Hotel or similar.

Day 4: Swakopmund | Walvisbay

This morning you will take part in a three and half hour boat cruiser in the lagoon of Walvisbay. Boat cruiser is an ideal way of seeing Cape fur seals, Bottlenose Dolphins, pelicans, flamingos and many other sea birds. With a bit of luck you can see whales, leatherback turtle and sunfish. Snacks and fresh oysters, sparkling wines are served on board. We return to Swakopmund and the rest of the day is at leisure. There are countless photo opportunities, nice cafes, a safe beach, an indoor pool, aquarium and a very interesting museum. Overnight stay at The Delight Hotel or similar.

Day 5: Etosha National park

Today you travel on a paved main road through some small village of Usakos, Karibib and Outjo to Etosha National Park. We aim to arrive in the afternoon and if time permit we will take part in the afternoon game drives. Otherwise, you just relax and enjoy the well-deserved leisure. Overnight stay at Etosha safari camp or similar.

Day 6: Etosha National Park

Full day of game drive inside the Etosha National Park from southern to eastern Etosha, visiting numerous waterholes that attract a large diversity of wildlife and bird species. During the dry season, we may also make a detour visit to the great ‘Etosha Pan’ a shallow chalky-white cracked mud, shimmering with mirages and upward- spiralling dust in winter. It was once a large inland lake fed by rivers from the north and east and dried up 120 million years ago. Lunch stop at Halali, cool off at the swimming pool, and continue with our game drive toward our next overnight lodge ‘Mokuti lodge’ outside the park.

Day 7: Windhoek

Last day of our tour, we depart Mokuti lodge after a delicious breakfast, prepared for a long drive back to Windhoek although there will be few stop at some towns throughout the way. We aim to arrive late afternoon and you will be dropped off at your accommodation of choice in Windhoek. End of tour and Cheers!!
